When you make the decision regarding the new project proposal,
- did you make that decision based on the needs of your team only?
- did you also consider that impacts (domino effects) on any other team(s)?
- did you study the whole side effects of the project on your own team?
- did you think about the future of this project, the scalability of this project, etc?
- did you know your project well enough to write a complete requirement of your new project proposal?
Don't be selfish and keep demanding a project that could impact other people negatively for only your own benefit.
