Nanyang Technological University was the school I had chosen for my Masters Degree. I got my Masters of Science (Information Systems) in 2015.
Honors
My first degree was Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) with First Class Honors. My alma mater was an international school of Thammasat University, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology.
Focus
Everything from the basic concepts in programming and algorithms. Background theory of microprocessors, chips, networks, and how they actually works. And the method to make the system possible, with all the best practices and guidelines. How to build systems that are usable, user-friendly? How to build the systems to last, to endure heavy usages? How to make sure systems are worth building? How to build the right system, using the right tool, for the right task? I made sure that we have the skills, high enough to find the right solutions for the right situations.
Testimony
I have known Ratinan for about two years. I have taught the compulsory course on Theory of Computation, which Ratinan has successfully taken. Additionally, I acted as an advisor of the bachelor graduation project titled "SIIT Web of Semantics". As my student, Ratinan has shown an exceptionally high motivation and diligent on learning and researching. A case in point was the undertaking of the mentioned senior project which requires the student to study and master difficult technologies such as the Web Ontology Language and reasoning tools. His English proficiency and academic performance are within the top-ten range of the entire batch and ranks the first among all senior project students under my supervision.
